Listed below are the re-roofing services we offer at Chilliwack Roofing.

Residential Asphalt Shingles

Asphalt Shingle roofing systems are the most common application of Steep Slope Roofing that we provide. It is typical for our team to tear off the existing shingles to the wood deck. This allows us to be able to inspect the deck for deterioration. In some cases we can roof over top of the existing shingles, however this is not typical. Existing cedar shake roofs can easily be converted to an asphalt shingle system. We offer a variety of underlayment options to choose from.

The underlayment is installed prior to the shingles and helps the overall performance of the roof. Overall, asphalt shingle roofing systems provide the customer with a wide range of selection in colour, style and warranty depending on the manufacture and shingle chosen. We are trained and certified by all major manufactures and can help you make the right choice for your house and budget.

Residential Metal Cladding

Metal Clad Roofing systems are one of the most durable roofs that can be installed. Besides having the longest life span of any other roofing system, there are many other unique benefits associated with metal clad roofing systems. They are available in a wide range of colours special ordered from the manufacture. This system provides the building an energy efficient and low maintenance roof. Metal panels are designed to be resistant to decay, discolouration and mold build up.

The long life expectancy of metal roofs will also have potential to increase a home’s resale value. We are trained and certified by all major manufactures and can help you make the right choice for your house and budget.

Residential Low Slope

These roofs are typically completed by either a Torch on Membrane or a Single Ply TPO Membrane. There are no differences between these roofs performance wise, but there are differences in both ascetics and application.

Torch on Membrane

Torch on Roofing consists of two plies of Modified Bitumen Membrane. The base layer is mechanically secured with either nails or screws. The top visible layer, (cap sheet) is generally the same in composition, but has a granulated surface to provide protection from the elements. Colour to be chosen by the customer from the manufacture, based on availability.

Both the top surface of the base sheet and the bottom face of the cap sheet have a thermo-fusible plastic surface, meaning both plies can be joined together by heat. In the case of Torch on Roofing these two membranes are joined by propane fuelled torches. All of these torches are operated by fully trained and certified professionals.

Single Ply TPO Membrane

Single ply roofing makes roofing installation both simple and safe. It’s an ideal option for low slope roofs because it’s lightweight, waterproof, and easy to maintain. TPO is a flexible, hot-air welded (no open flame) thermoplastic polyolefin roofing membrane available in 6’, 8’ and 10’ widths. Typical TPO color is white. Due to the reflective nature of the product it can help reduce a building’s cooling cycles on hot summer days.
